  1. You can always take a trip to Gettysburg (matter of fact we were just there this past weekend) even if the kids are not history lovers, they will enjoy this. There are some great museums in Philly that you can make stops at, but that is a little further than from where you are initially when you come.
I bet with the ages of your children they would maybe enjoy the last one I have listed below. That could be a real attention grabber and learning experience for them to see how something is made.

Franklin Institute Science Museum – The Franklin Institute Science Museum is a hands-on museum dedicated to Ben Franklin and the great scientific legacy he left behind. The museum features exhibits in astronomy, bioscience, electricity, mathematics, mechanics, aviation and lots more.

Philadelphia Museum – The Philadelphia Museum of Art is among the largest and most important art museums in the United States. The collection of Asian art, Japanese art, European and French includes ceramics, sculpture, paintings, and decorative objects and stained glass.

Philadelphia Zoo – Visit America’s first zoo. The Philadelphia Zoo is a 42 acre park located within minutes of Center City, the Avenue of the Arts, and the Liberty Bell.

Zoo America – Zoo America North American Wildlife Park is an 11-acre walk-through zoo which exhibits plants and animals native to five regions of North America. More than 150 animals, representing some 70 species, serve as ambassadors to provide us with a new perspective on our natural environment.

Independence Seaport Museum – Go on a journey of discovery through the history and traditions of the Delaware Valley’s maritime past. Enjoy family-oriented, interactive exhibits, step inside a wooden boatshop, tour Admiral Dewey’s 1892 cruiser Olympia and go below deck of WWII Submarine Becuna – both National Historic Landmarks.

Watch and Clock Museum – At the Watch and Clock Museum the collection has increased to over 12,000 items and the museum since it’s opening date. Today, the museum is recognized as the largest and most comprehensive horological collection in North America.

Lake Tobias Wildlife Park – Lake Tobias Wildlife Park has been fascinating patrons with its wild, exotic animals, adventure-seeking safari tours, petting zoos, and a reptile building featuring the African Ball Python, Cockatoo, Iguana, Lizards and more!

Mary Merritt Doll Museum – The Museum’s collection is the result of years of collecting by Robert and Mary Merritt. They scoured the United States and Europe and built this unbelievable museum to house the dolls they found during their travels. As a result of their efforts, the collection spans the expanse of time from ancient Egypt to the 20th century.

Crayola Factory – Roam through a crayon and marker factory, explore the magic of light and color, and experiment with cool art techniques. It’s all under one roof at the Crayola factory in Easton, Pennsylvania.

I am sure there are sites if you google about things to do in PA. That should help you greatly.
Hope you enjoy your visit and stay safe. ;o)
